Finding the right care solution for someone you love can be intimidating. Finding the best caregiving partner is crucial to your family’s peace of mind.

At Advantage Home Care, a trusted provider of senior care in Winston and surrounding communities, we understand this firsthand because we have cared for our own parents at home. We understand that in order to have a healthy life balance, your loved ones need trustworthy, reliable, capable care.

Through years of experience, we have learned that happy caregivers give great service. Therefore, we equip our caregivers for success, with mentoring and RN supervision.

We take the time to understand your needs and wishes, from the first phone call to care planning and scheduling, and during daily care. This empowers you to achieve a healthy life balance, knowing your loved ones are in capable hands.

Our Leadership

Larissa Sparrowhawk

Larisa Sparrowhawk, Administrator

Larisa is a native of Southern Oregon whose parents’ illnesses inspired her to return to college for a second career. Her parents did not want to leave the home they had filled with all their memories, even when they were unable to find appropriate support. Larisa realized that home care and home hospice services help honor the wishes of elders while providing peace of mind to their families.

Larisa’s experience and empathy are invaluable to family members who have found themselves unexpectedly placed in the stressful role of caregiver. Balancing this empathy with idealism and practicality creates a healthy environment for both clients and employees.

Larisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine. In her free time, she enjoys working on her small farm and orchard, believing that Douglas County, Oregon is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Tracy Leder

Tracey Leder, RN, BSN

Tracey provides Advantage Home Care’s nursing and medication oversight delegations and conducts client quarterly visits. She is a knowledgeable advocate for our clients, helping them live safely and comfortably at home.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, playing at the river, homesteading, crafting, and eating freshly spun cotton candy with her family. She is a California native who moved here with her husband Carl Leder, who is an Oregon native and a physician’s assistant.

Our scheduling service team members are exceptional at selecting the right caregivers for each person we serve.

Davie Knight recently moved from Washington to Oregon to be near her family. She has been a scheduler for most of her career. Nurturing and motivating others comes naturally to Davie. She understands the wants and needs of both clients and caregivers. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, sewing, and doing crafts.

Mandy Warner, a former CNA and medical assistant, loves solving puzzles – making her a great scheduler. She is an Oregon native who moved to Missouri but returned because Oregon will always be home. She likes classic Winnie the Pooh, all animals, and crafting.

Lois Jones-Keller is an Oregon native and former RN and massage therapist who is now an outstanding scheduler who believes “everyone deserves a good match.” She loves animals, and spends her free time gardening and crafting.

Heidi Robeson is an Oregon native who grew up in a healthcare-oriented family and believes caring is in her genes. She is perfect for human resources because she enjoys meeting people, interviewing them, and learning about them to determine if they are a good fit for our team. She is a newlywed who loves hiking, dogs, and flowers.

Carol Ralph is an Oregon native who spent some time living in Alaska, but came back because Oregon is home. A warm and friendly receptionist, she loves making people feel welcome. She appreciates working for a company that cares so much about both clients and employees. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, gardening, and reading.

Our Caregivers

At Advantage Home Care, we know that client care is elevated when we carefully select and care for our staff members.

Our hiring process includes in-depth interviews, reference checks, four background checks (Oregon, National, Office of Inspector General Exclusions, and National Sex Offender). Advantage Home Care also checks DMV records at least annually, checks for current drivers’ licenses and insurance, and conducts drug testing as needed.

Advantage Home Care conducts small class orientations and continuing education, exceeding state training requirements. We use professional equipment to give hands-on training in specific client care needs, such as turning and positioning and using a Hoyer lift. Staff RNs teach medication safety, infection prevention, and first aid classes.

Advantage Home Care is licensed, insured, and bonded, for your peace of mind.

We have high caregiver retention and longevity rates because we prioritize promoting and rewarding excellence in our team members.
